Secure, flexible and productive remote working

  • directors, employees and officers of EEW Design;

  • freelancers, contractors and consultants working remotely for EEW Design;

  • anyone accessing EEW Design or client systems, files or confidential information from a remote location.

  • be available during agreed working hours or project timescales;

  • attend agreed meetings and check-ins;

  • respond to communications within reasonable business timescales;

  • communicate promptly if availability changes; and

  • manage workload so that deadlines and quality standards are maintained.

  • secure laptops or desktop systems;

  • licensed software where required;

  • reliable internet access;

  • appropriate backup or cloud-sync arrangements;

  • secure storage for client files; and

  • appropriate video, audio or communications tools.

7. Data security and confidentiality

  • protect client and EEW Design confidential information;

  • use strong passwords and multi-factor authentication where available;

  • avoid accessing confidential files on unsecured public networks unless appropriate safeguards are in place;

  • avoid storing confidential client data on unapproved personal devices or accounts;

  • lock devices when unattended;

  • keep physical documents secure; and

  • report any suspected data or security incident promptly.

8. Health and safety

  • using an appropriate chair, desk and screen setup where possible;

  • taking regular breaks from screen work;

  • keeping cables and equipment arranged safely;

  • reporting work-related injuries or health and safety concerns; and

  • following any applicable guidance on display-screen equipment and ergonomics.
